Frequently Asked Questions
Is Akupon custodial?
Points and sub-balance are custodial (managed by Akupon). On-chain assets ($AKUPON, aUSD, LP positions) are non-custodial — you hold them in your own wallet.
Where can I see my points?
App → Profile → Wallet → Points.
How do I get $AKUPON?
Before listing: earn via referral, ambassador rewards, and pool yield, or
convert points to a $AKUPON allocation (held as LISTING_SOON until the
token goes live). After listing: also buy on supported exchanges.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes — Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store). See getting started.
Which countries are supported?
Indonesia (primary), plus most APAC and EU markets. US users currently restricted pending regulatory clarity.
How do I contact support?
- General: [email protected]
- Partner: [email protected]
- Security: [email protected] (PGP key on request)
What is PPOB?
PPOB lets you pay bills and buy digital products (pulsa, PLN, BPJS, game vouchers, e-money top-up) directly inside the app. See PPOB Guide.
What's the difference between Points and Sub-Balance?
Points are engagement rewards (earned via check-in, tasks, referrals) and can expire. Sub-Balance is your spendable IDR balance (top-up, prize, refund) used to pay for vouchers, PPOB, and merchant invoices. See Sub-Balance.
Can I pay in USD?
Yes — pick Global (aUSD wallet) at checkout. Default is Local (DOKU, IDR) for Indonesian users. See Payments Overview.
Will I be charged twice if I retry a payment?
No. Every checkout uses an idempotency key — duplicate clicks or webhook retries never produce a double charge. See Payment Security.
My PPOB purchase failed after payment — what happens?
You are automatically refunded to Sub-Balance (or the original method). No action needed. Reference ID is in your PPOB history.
