Android Payments

On Android, Akupon uses the standard web checkout — no Google Play billing for consumables.

Checkout flow​

  • Tap a paid item → choose Local (DOKU) or Global (Stripe).
  • The gateway opens inside the app (DOKU iframe / Chrome Custom Tab for Stripe).
  • Once payment completes, you're returned to the app automatically via deep-link.

Why not Google Play billing?​

Google permits external payment systems for non-game consumables in many regions. Using DOKU/Stripe directly lets us:

  • Pass lower fees back to you (no platform commission).
  • Support the same IDR methods (VA, QRIS, e-wallet) you already use day-to-day.
  • Offer USD checkout for international users.

Receipts & history​

Same as web — every payment is logged with an immutable reference, viewable in App → Wallet → History.

Returning users​

Your last-used gateway choice is remembered. You can change it any time from the gateway selector at checkout.
